guts and glory

Black eyes, smashed noses, torn lips and shredded flesh. No we haven't just witnessed a westside brawl but the Dsquared f/w 2010 mens parade. Dsquared once again drew our attention to the absurd, playing on the macarbe fetish that has swept pop culture in the past few years with the rise of dark-romanticism through the success of the twighlight phenomenon. Dsquared have captured the beauty in the brutal, showing us a sexy, rugged and dangerous side to their branding.

I don't know about you but blood dripping all over catwalk added another dimension to the clothing which would otherwise be surprisingly average. Dsquared have once again taken their audience on a compelling journey through their incredible talent for storytelling.

we've got the power

Pun definately intended, I would marry my new peter alexander pyjama pants if I could. Peter's powerful pop art pants are practically perfect.

Now say it ten times as fast as you can.

we are handsome

We Are Handsome makes the best swimmers out there by a golden mile, the wicked prints and flattering cuts are just sensational. Not to mention they're limited edition, make sure you get your hands on a pair of these bad boys. My Los Angeles pair are possibly one of the best investments I've ever made. Viva La'America!

the ninth floor

This amazing collection of photographs shot by the incredible Jessica Dimmock exposes the underbelly of New York City, showing the depravity, desparation and hallucinations that the junkies of the big apple go through everyday. Jessica spent a few months with this so called family of junkies and watched the idiosyncrasies and disfunctionality of this particular apartment tear these people apart both mentally and physically. An extremely talented photographer Dimmock provides emotionally moving raw images that cast a light on the shadows of this world. When visiting the website viewers discretion is advised.

My own private idaho

If I could have my choice of anyone in the world, River Phoenix would definitely be up there. His dusty blonde locks and piercing eyes make him irresistible. Captivating, strong and sexy River caught everyone's eye in Running on Empty and My Own Private Idaho, one of my favorite movies ever. Heartwrenching, though-provoking and creative it is a must see film.

In the meantime, isn't he beautiful..

"I don't want to die in a car accident. When I die it will be a glorious day. It will probably be a waterfall." -River Phoenix.

sunshine reaches the waters

Oh Zippora. This is such a beautiful clip, the naievity of her voice and the vunerability in her eyes create such an incredible aura, a young girl stranded in her own routines drifting out to sea. Searching for wisdom and craving knowlege. Listen in complete silence.

All fired up!

I am OBSESSED with american tee's and jumpers. From NFL to Basketball fron Toronto to Ohio I want them all. Here's a sneak peek into some of my favourite sporting moments...

Oh Archie!

I first found Archie comics when I was probably 12 or 13 at an antique shop in Tumbarumba in the snowy mountains. I bought a stack of the brightly coloured comics and fell in love instantly, I collected one everytime I scored some pocket money and dreamt of being blonde haired betty. So wickedly pop, who wouldn't want to live in an archie comic.

Skate Witches

1980's experimental short film making at it's best, as much as this made me cringe...the skate witches have sick style. Take a lesson from the badass blondes...but remember to get a rat first.

Pulp fiction

No-one writes a mystery like James Thompson, the noir of it all is simply irresistable, not to mention those sexy 25c paperback covers that people like me die for. The ultimate pulp fiction.
